THE COURT.
This action was brought by plaintiff, Alexandria Belm, against the defendant, Jesse Patrick, for damages for an alleged breach of promise to marry.
The complaint averred that on November 15, 1927, the parties agreed to marry, and that the promise was repeated on several occasions, the last promise being on February 25, 1928. It was charged that defendant breached the contract on August 3, 1928, by marrying another person. A trial by jury was had and a verdict rendered in favor of the plaintiff for $2,500.
