Before the court is the plaintiffs Motion for Sanctions (doc. #54). For the reasons stated below, the motion is granted.

Background

This motion arises as a result of an ongoing discovery dispute between the plaintiff and defendant. The attorney for the plaintiff, Eleanor H. MacLellan of Sulloway & Hollis, filed an appearance in this case on February 3, 1993. The plaintiffs former attorney, Edwinna Vanderzanden of McNeill & Taylor, withdrew on April 14, 1993.
