McCORMICK, Justice.

This appeal involves two questions in an original action in equity for alimony and child support. Plaintiff Jadwiga Brown obtained a divorce from defendant Richard Brown in Illinois in 1969 after securing constructive service upon him. The Illinois decree purported to reserve the issues of alimony and child support. In this action, after obtaining personal service of defend ant, plaintiff sought a decree fixing alimony and past and future child support.
