Memorandum: Plaintiff commenced this Labor Law action *1098seeking damages for injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell while stepping back onto a ladder from the roof of a residence after installing a satellite dish thereon. Plaintiff moved for partial summary judgment on liability under Labor Law § 240 (1), and defendant cross-moved for summary judgment dismissing the complaint. Supreme Court denied plaintiffs motion, granted defendant’s cross motion in its entirety, and dismissed the complaint.
