Rasheeda Kambra Jones applied for and was denied Supplemental Security Income benefits under Title XVI of the Social Security Act. The denial was based on the ground that her impairments did not meet, equal, or functionally equal the childhood or adult listings for mental retardation. The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) found that Ms. Jones was not disabled because, although she did suffer from mental retardation, she did not have the kind of additional impairment necessary to qualify her for the listing claimed.
