McQUADE, Justice.

On April 9, 1954, the claimant, Donald M. Lane, suffered a personal injury caused by an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment with the General Telephone Company of the Northwest. The employer was secured for its workmen’s compensation liability by Continental Casualty Company. The claimant was a lineman for the telephone company. In the course of his employment, the claimant as such lineman was working on a pole near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, when the pole “snapped off at the ground.” Lane, who was using a safety belt, was unable to unhook the belt and free…
