OPINION OF THE COURT

De GIULIO, Senior Judge:

Appellant was tried by a special court-martial composed of officers. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of failure to repair, willful disobedience of an order of a noncommissioned officer, contempt toward a noncommissioned officer, and striking a superior noncommissioned officer who was in the execution of his office, in violation of Articles 86 and 91, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886 and 891 (1982). He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for six months, forfeiture of $502.00 pay per month for six months,…
