Dr. Cassandra Thomas (“Thomas”) is a licensed physician in the state of Mississippi who operated Central Mississippi Physical Medicine (“CMPM”), an in-home physical therapy services provider for Medicare patients, from 2002 through 2005. While operating CMPM, Thomas falsely billed Medicare and Medicaid programs for medically unreasonable and unnecessary physical therapy services, failed to directly supervise the administration of the physical therapy, and hired unlicensed personnel to administer the physical therapy.
