Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Griffin, J.), rendered August 8, 2012, convicting him of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (two counts), upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial, after a hearing, in an order of the same court (Paynter, J.), dated February 29, 2012, of those branches of the defendant’s omnibus motion which were to suppress physical evidence and his statements to law enforcement officials.
