Plaintiff, Hobert LeMaster, brought an action under the provisions of the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (45 U.S.C. § 51 et seq. (1970)) against his employer, the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad Company, for personal injuries he sustained in the course of his employment. After hearing the evidence in the case, a jury returned a verdict of $1,000,000 for plaintiff, and the circuit court entered judgment thereon. The trial court denied the defendant’s1 post-trial motion, and this appeal follows.
