The principal issue is whether the rejection of the applications of petitioners, duly licensed medical doctors and osteopathic physicians, for staff membership by respondent Huntington Hospital, a privately funded not-for-profit corporation, is in violation of section 2801-b of the Public Health Law and subject to judicial review. A corollary issue is whether petitioners have standing to maintain this proceeding.
