On March 21, 1990, appellants Sanford M. Lyles and Keenan R. Hart were charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), and use of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c). On the night of February 28, 1990, police officer Paul Hamilton received information from a confidential source that drugs were being sold at 5714 Wabash in Kansas City, Missouri.
