The plaintiffs, husband and wife, in these actions sought damages growing out of injuries sustained or alleged to have been sustained by the plaintiff wife as a result of an accident occurring while she was a passenger on a train of the defendant. The complaints set forth straight actions in negligence based on the claim that the operating employees of the defendant brought about the accident through their negligence in handling the train.
