A warrant was sworn out by Walker for the purpose of dispossessing Edmundson of certain premises, on the ground that Edmundson was a tenant who had failed to pay his rent aaid who was holding over and beyond his term. Edmundson filed a counter-affidavit, denying that he had failed to pay his rent, and alleging that he had made a contract with’Walker whereby he had rented the premises for two years, at five dollars per month, and in the same contract purchased from Walker a certain stock of goods in one of the houses on the premises; that in the same contract Walker agreed that Edmundson might…
