This case presents the question of whether a defendant who is ordered to undergo treatment pursuant to the provisions of the Dangerous Drug Abuse Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 9IV2, pars. 120.8, 120.9) may also be ordered to pay restitution and court costs.
The Dangerous Drug Abuse Act provides, inter alia, a defendant addict charged with a crime to elect treatment for his addiction under a supervised program instead of prosecution. (Ill. Rev.
