Alberto Montes-Cardenas was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, 21 U.S.C. § 846, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), and possession of unregistered silencers, 26 U.S.C. § 5861(d). 1 On appeal, he challenges the sufficiency of the evidence to support the convictions, the failure of the court to sever the counts for separate trials, and several other rulings made during the trial.
