A McMinn County Circuit Court jury found the Defendant-Appellant, Jerry Wayne Lankford (hereinafter “Lankford”), guilty of aggravated burglary, a Class C felony, and theft of property over $1,000, a Class D felony. As a Range III, persistent offender, Lankford was sentenced to twelve years for aggravated burglary and ten years for theft of property, to be served consecutively, for an effective sentence of twenty-two years’ confinement in the Department of Correction.
