Plaintiff, respondent here, filed his petition in the circuit court of Lincoln county, in which it is set out that defendant is a life insurance company, incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois and engaged in the business of life insurance in the State of Missouri, by virtue and authority of the laws thereof; that plaintiff was the husband of one Kate W.
