In ordering the plaintiff (husband) to pay alimony to the defendant (wife) in the amount of $711.54 per week, a judge of the Probate and Family Court attributed income to the husband. The husband formerly had been a partner in a large Washington, D.C., law firm, but by the time of the divorce proceedings had withdrawn from the firm partnership, was no longer practicing law, and was unemployed.
