— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (West, J.), rendered May 6, 1986, as amended March 23, 1988, convicting him of grand larceny in the second degree and forgery in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.
Ordered that the judgment, as amended, is affirmed.
The defendant contends that the trial court improvidently exercised its discretion, thereby depriving him of a fair trial, when it refused to grant his application for a continuance to enable him to enforce subpoenas seeking evidence he described as crucial to the defense.…
