Appellant Snohomish County appeals a judgment directing reemployment of respondent Frank Nichols as a Sno-homish County Deputy Sheriff.

Respondent Nichols was employed from 1975 to January 1983 as a Snohomish County Deputy Sheriff. In 1980 he joined the Washington National Guard. Early in 1982 he explored the possibility of entering helicopter flight training through the United States Army Reserve.
