The defendant is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (Penal Law § 220.21 [1]), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (Penal Law § 220.16 [1]), two counts of criminally using *68drug paraphernalia in the second degree (Penal Law § 220.50 [2], [3]) and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child (Penal Law § 260.10 [1]).
