In this ease, a worker suffered injuries when he fell down the shaft of a freight elevator in the building in which his employer was a fourth-floor tenant. The principal issue is whether the employee’s injuries are compensable under the Workers’ Compensation Act. Determination of that issue turns on whether the accident occurred on the employer’s premises or whether it occurred beyond the employer’s premises and, therefore, was not a compensable accident occurring in the course of employment under the premises rule of the Workers’…
