This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of Salsbury Laboratories, Inc. (Sals-bury) for the misappropriation of trade secrets by two former Salsbury employees and their current employer, Merieux Laboratories, Inc. (Merieux), a company which competes with Salsbury in the commercial development of vaccines for veterinary use. Principally at issue is whether trade secret status may be accorded to Salsbury’s process for producing a vaccine, on a commercial scale, to immunize chickens against a bacterium causing respiratory disease and, if so, whether the defendants…
