CRAHAN, Judge.

Theodore Hoskins (“Mayor”) appeals the judgment of ouster removing him from office as Mayor of the City of Berkeley1 for allegedly violating Article II, Section 2 of the Berkeley City Charter, which provides, in pertinent part, “A Councilman shall, during his/her term, hold no other elective public office....” The trial court held that Mayor violated this provision when, while serving as Councilman and Mayor, he was elected to the office of Democrat Committeeman for Nor-wood Township, St. Louis County. On appeal, Mayor contends the trial court erred in removing him from office…
