—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Vaughn, J.), rendered June 19, 1992, convicting him of manslaughter in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant contends that the trial court’s use of the words "substance” and "consequence” when defining reasonable doubt for the jury violated his right to due process by overstating the degree of doubt necessary for acquittal.
