This was an action to recover the possession of two horses, which the plaintiffs claimed under a mortgage, the condition of which had been broken. The defendants in their answer set up three defences: First. A general denial of all except the formal allegations of the complaint, as. to the co partnership of the plaintiffs and defendants respectively. Second.
