Appellant, Antonio Manrique, was indicted in two separate indictments for the offenses of attempted murder, along with a codefend-ant, David Samudio. In cause no. 5702A appellant was indicted for attempting to murder a person a) unknown to the grand jury or b) Edward Avilez. In cause no. 5703A appellant was indicted for attempting to murder a person a) unknown to the grand jury or b) Donnie Avilez. To each indictment, appellant pled not guilty.
