In this case, the Oglala Sioux Tribe (the Tribe) seeks money damages from the United States (defendant), acting through the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), for the mismanagement of certain Tribe assets. Jurisdiction in this court is premised upon the Tucker Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1491,1 and the “Indian” Tucker *178Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1505.2 As a further basis for jurisdiction, the Tribe avers that it is entitled to the payment of money damages flowing from a purported breach of fiduciary obligations imposed by a trust relationship arising from the…
