Marilyn Emge, a minor 11 years of age, by her next friend, instituted this suit to recover damages for personal injuries she sustained when the automobile in which she was riding was struck at a private crossing by one of defendant’s trains. A trial to a jury resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff for $2,500. During the trial defendant filed the usual motions for a directed verdict but rulings thereon were reserved.
