MACY, Justice.

Appellant Willard Shepard pled guilty to attempted voluntary manslaughter in violation of §§ 6-2-105(a)(i) and 6-l-301(a)(i), W.S.1977 (June 1983 Replacement). For this crime he was sentenced to not less than ten nor more than twenty years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary. He has appealed, raising the sole issue of:

“Whether the district court committed reversible error and abused its discretion in sentencing Willard Shepard, Jr., to a term of ten to twenty years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary for a violation of §§ 6 — 1—301(a)(i) and 6-2-105(a)(i), W. S. 1977.”
