The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania sued the Dollar Savings Bank, of Pittsburgh, to recover the sum of $9,-069.29, with interest from December 1, 1913, which it alleged was the aggregate of moneys placed in that institution by twenty-four-depositors “who had omitted to make any demand for the amount deposited by them, or for any part thereof, for the space of thirty years after the last deposit was made.” Plaintiff averred that, under the Act of April 17, 1872, P. L. 62, it was the duty of the defendant to pay these deposits to the treasurer of the Commonwealth.…
