Robinson, J. —

This action arises out of a traffic accident which occurred at the intersection of Fourth avenue and Pike street, in the city of Seattle, September 27, 1941, at 4:30 in the afternoon. The respondent was crossing Pike street from north to south in the pedestrian lane on the ' east side of the intersection. Appellant’s cab was traveling west on Pike street and struck respondent while she was near the middle of the street and the middle of the pedestrian lane.
