Plaintiff is a foreign corporation doing a loan and financing business in this State, and, as alleged in its petition, it is the holder of a promissory note in the sum of $1,350, executed and signed by Frank Nastasi and secured by a chattel mortgage on a Dodge automobile. At the time the act of mortgage was executed and the note signed on July 26, 1945, the mortgagor, Nastasi, resided in the City of New Orleans and the automobile was located at his residence in that city, recited in the act as being at municipal No. 240 Galvez Street.
