Defendant Wilfrido Bonilla Vasquez raises questions concerning the application of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines (“Guidelines”). Vasquez pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B) and 18 U.S.C. § 2. He received a 97-month sentence under the Guidelines, the minimum sentence shown for his adjusted offense level of 30. His base offense level of 28, based upon the weight of the cocaine involved, was increased two levels for possessing a gun during the commission of the offense pursuant to…
