Carolyn Cruse appeals from a summary judgment entered by the district court, 1 adopting a magistrate’s 2 report and recommendation that there was substantial evidence to support an administrative law judge’s final decision to deny some of the Social Security benefits she sought. The final decision was that Carolyn Cruse was “disabled,” as defined in the Social Security Act, after December 22, 1984, but not before that date.
