Following a joint bench trial with Matthew Antonio Salcedo, Juan Luis Lebrón (“appellant”) was convicted by the Circuit Court of Rockbridge County (“trial court”), as a principal in the second degree, of robbery, in violation of Code § 18.2-58, and use of a firearm in the commission of robbery, in violation of Code § 18.2-58.1. Appellant was also convicted, as a principal in the second degree, of participating in a criminal act for the benefit of a prohibited street gang, in violation of Code § 18.2-46.2.
