COXE, Circuit Judge.

The defendants attempted to prove that they were' citizens of the United States: Yee King testified that he was born in San Francisco and lived there 11 years, when he came to New York -where he remained for 3 years and then went to Tarry-town. His parents, he says, went to China when he was 9 years old and are there now, or at least they were there on the day when the testimony was taken, May 12, 1904.

The only knowledge he had as to the place of his birth was from his father, although it would seem that this information was actually derived from his uncle. He says, “My…
