Pigeon creek runs in a southwesterly direction through Harrison and Pottawattamie counties, in this state, emptying into the Missouri river in Pottawattamie county. There have been organized along this natural water course three separate drainage districts, all of which have their outlet through this creek. The lower district along the Missouri river is known as Pigeon Creek drainage district No. 2 of Pottawattamie county.
