Petitioners apply for writs of habeas corpus on the ground that they are being detained in State custody in violation of the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments. Following indictment and arrest on bench warrants for violation of Ga.Code Supp. § 79A-803 (possession and selling of heroin), Judge Dunbar Harrison of the Eastern Circuit fixed bail for the defendants in amounts varying from $50,000 to $100,000.
