delivered the opinion of the Court.

A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted Private Cassandra M. Riley, pursuant to her plea, of kidnapping a minor in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934 (2006). A panel of officers sentenced Riley to confinement for five years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and a dishonorable discharge. The convening authority approved the sentence as adjudged.
