This appeal arises from the judgment of the trial court dissolving the parties’ marriage. The defendant, Richard J. Shenkman-Tyler, claims that the court improperly denied his motions to continue the dissolution trial until after the disposition of a pending criminal case charging him with intentionally setting fire to property owned by the plaintiff, Nancy P. Tyler.
