Plaintiff, Permagrain Products, Inc., manufactures a vinyl-laminated wood floor covering product, Genuwood, which it advertises as a unique combination of attractiveness and durability. Permagrain contends that an employee of its predecessor in interest learned trade secrets necessary to produce Genuwood, and then revealed this technology to U.S. Mat & Rubber Co., Inc., which proceeded to market Naturwood, a product which Permagrain alleges is quite similar to the original version of Genuwood.
