The plaintiff, Angela Femino (“Femino”), brought this action against the defendant, Manufacturers and Merchants Mutual Insurance Company (“Manufacturers”), alleging that Manufacturers failed to effectuate a prompt, fair, and equitable settlement of Femino’s claim after she sustained injuries at the home of Manufacturers’ insured, and Femino’s sister, Joanne Andreoli (“Andreoli”).
