This was a bill brought by Caroline Louise Carter, against Leslie Carter, in the Superior Court of Cook county, praying for divorce on the ground of extreme "and repeated cruelty. Defendant put in an answer denying the acts of cruelty alleged, and charged complainant with various acts of adultery. Defendant also filed a cross-bill against complainant for divorce, charging the same acts of adultery set out in his answer to complainant’s bill. To this cross-bill complainant answered, denying each and all of the acts of adultery with which she was charged. The cause was tried by a jury, and…
