These six cases present a number of different questions, but there is one which is common to them all. In each case the Government sues the Surety alone (without joining the Principal) on bonds executed by the principal and surety to guarantee compliance with the terms of permits issued by the Government for various stages in the production of industrial alcohol, and a particular product (lacquer thinner) manufactured therefrom.
