William H. Edgar is the beneficiary of a testamentary spendthrift trust set up by his *421deceased grandfather, Clinton Goodloe Edgar. Petitioner, Lansing J. Roy, is a trustee in bankruptcy for the estate of William H. Edgar. Roy filed a petition in the Wayne County Probate Court seeking to invalidate the spendthrift trust. The probate court ruled the spendthrift provisions valid and granted summary judgment to respondent The Detroit Bank & Trust Company.
