This appeal from the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of California presents a tricky and as-yet unsettled question of law within this cir cuit: whether a bankruptcy court must dismiss a bankruptcy petition at the debt- or’s own urging for failure to file schedules and other information requested by 11 U.S.C. § 521(a), even if the evidence suggests that the debtor is acting with the goal of evading his financial obligations.
