These actions of trespass on the case for negligence were brought by a wife and her huspand respectively against a husband and wife, owners of and in possession of certain premises located at No. 6 Kitchener Road in the town of Johnston in this state, to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff wife. The cases were tried together before a justice of the superior court sitting with a jury, and at the conclusion of the plaintiffs’ evidence the trial justice granted the defendants’ motion for a directed verdict in each case.
