BREWSTER, Justice.

The plaintiff, Roland C. Van Deusen, individually and as administrator of the estate of his deceased wife, Merle Van Deu-sen, filed this suit against the defendant, Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, seeking to recover on a group health insurance policy that provided coverage for the plaintiff and his wife should they become ill and require hospitalization and medical care.
